LUNTEREN Ajax won the sunny TopParken Tournament U14 in Lunteren on Friday. The team from Amsterdam were too strong for the French Paris Saint Germain in the final battle of the heavily occupied youth tournament. Third place went to the Belgian KRC Genk.
For two days, Lunteren experienced a real football party with highly regarded international youth teams. AC Milan, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain, for example, sent a youth team.
Abdellah Ouazane of Ajax was chosen as the best player of the tournament. The best goalkeeper was Adam Movak from Paris Saint-Germain. According to the organization, the two-day tournament with good weather and many visitors was more than successful.
The team of VV Lunteren, traditionally always last between the violence of professional football youth, stunted on the second tournament day. In the battle for eleventh and twelfth place, the team of the local football club won 1-0 against the youth of the German RB Leipzig.
